The Season I Like Most

Introduction
Bangladesh is a land of six seasons: summer, rainy season, autumn, late autumn, winter and spring. Each season has its own beauty, but I like spring most. It is called the king of all seasons.

Time and Nature
Spring comes after winter and lasts for the months of Falgun and Chaitra (mid-February to mid-April). The weather in this season is neither too hot nor too cold. A soft and cool breeze blows all day, and the sky remains clear and blue.

Beauty of Spring
In spring the whole nature wears a new look. The trees shed their old leaves and put on new green ones. Flowers like the krishnachura, shimul, palash, bakul and mango blossoms bloom everywhere. Their sweet smell fills the air. The cuckoo sings sweetly on the branches and the bees hum around the flowers.

Festivals of Spring
The first day of Falgun is celebrated as Pahela Falgun. Young girls wear yellow saris and boys wear colourful panjabis. They put flowers in their hair and visit fairs and cultural programmes. In February we also observe the International Mother Language Day with deep respect.

Why I Like It
I like spring because of its pleasant weather, its colourful flowers and its joyful festivals. It fills my heart with new hope and energy. Everyone feels fresh and cheerful in this season.

Conclusion
Spring is really a gift of nature. It brings a new life to the earth and happiness to people. That is why I like spring most of all the seasons.
