Rules: To make a simple sentence, use an infinitive, participle or phrase in place of the clause (4.1, 4.5). For a negative comparison with "as...as", change to the comparative degree with the opposite subject (4.3). A sentence with an assertion becomes interrogative by inverting the verb and subject (4.4, 4.6), and an exclamatory sentence uses "How/What" (4.8).
