A Winter Morning

Winter is the coldest season of the year. A winter morning has a charm of its own. It comes after a long cold night and is quite different from the mornings of other seasons.

On a winter morning, the sun rises late, and thick fog covers the whole village and town. We can hardly see anything a few yards away. Dewdrops shine like pearls on the grass and leaves. The air is cold and fresh, and a chilly wind blows. People do not like to leave their warm beds. They wrap themselves in blankets, quilts and warm clothes.

In the village, farmers go to the field early, and boys and girls sit around a fire to get warmth. Many people enjoy hot date juice and delicious pitha, such as bhapa pitha, in the morning. The poor people suffer the most because they do not have enough warm clothes. As the sun rises, the fog slowly melts away, and the sunshine gives us a pleasant warmth.

A winter morning is really beautiful and refreshing. It teaches us to enjoy the beauty of nature, but we should also stand beside the poor and help them with warm clothes.
