Subject: Application for relief goods for the flood-affected people

Sir,
With due respect, I beg to draw your kind attention to the fact that our village, Char Para, under your upazila, has been badly affected by the recent flood. I am writing this application on behalf of the helpless villagers.

The flood has washed away most of the houses, crops and cattle of our village. Hundreds of families have lost their shelter and are staying on the embankment and in the school building under the open sky. They are suffering severely from lack of food, pure drinking water and medicine. Many children and old people have already fallen ill with diarrhoea and fever. The situation is getting worse every day.

Under the circumstances, I earnestly request you to send relief goods such as rice, pulse, edible oil, dry food, clothes, saline, medicine and tents to our village as soon as possible. Moreover, please send a medical team to treat the sick people.

I hope you will kindly take immediate steps to save the suffering people. We shall remain ever grateful to you.
