Introduction
The present age is the age of science. Science has done many wonderful things for us. It has changed the face of the world and made the impossible possible. That is why modern scientific inventions are called the wonders of modern science.

Some wonders of science
Electricity is one of the greatest gifts of science. Without it, our modern life would stop. Computers and the internet have brought the whole world to our fingertips. Through email, social media and video calls, we can talk to people on the other side of the earth in a moment. The mobile phone has made communication very easy and fast.

Transport and communication
Trains, motor cars, aeroplanes and ships have made travelling quick and comfortable. A journey that once took months can now be completed in a few hours. Satellites help us to watch television programmes and forecast the weather. Space rockets have taken men to the moon.

Medicine and agriculture
Science has saved the lives of millions of people. Vaccines, antibiotics and surgical machines have conquered many deadly diseases. In agriculture, modern machines, fertilizers and high-yielding seeds have increased the production of food.

Evil side of science
Science is also misused. Atom bombs and other deadly weapons can destroy human civilization. Pollution of air and water is also a result of industrialization.

Conclusion
Science is a good servant but a bad master. We should use the wonders of science for the good of mankind and not for its destruction.
