We should clean such containers regularly, at least once a week. The city corporations and local authorities should spray insecticide, clean drains and carry out awareness campaigns. We should also use mosquito nets and repellents, and wear clothes that cover our arms and legs, because the mosquito bites during the daytime.

If anyone has a high fever, severe headache, pain behind the eyes or pain in the joints, he should see a doctor at once and take complete rest. The patient should drink plenty of water, saline and fluids, and should not take any medicine without the doctor's advice. Hospitals should keep enough beds and medicine ready for the patients.
