Subject: Application for increasing library facilities

Sir,

With due respect, I would like to state that I am a student of class ten of your school. I am writing this application to draw your kind attention to the poor facilities of our school library.

There is a library in our school, but its facilities are not sufficient for us. The number of books is small, and many of them are old and out of date. We do not find enough reference books, story books and magazines. The reading room is small, and it cannot accommodate many students at a time. Besides, there are not enough chairs, tables and fans, and the supply of newspapers is irregular. As a result, we cannot use the library properly, and our reading habit and general knowledge are not developing well.

Under the circumstances, I request you to kindly arrange to buy new books, journals and newspapers and to enlarge the reading room with necessary furniture. If you take these steps, the students of our school will be highly benefited.
