Tree Plantation

Trees are our best friends. A tree gives us fresh air, fruits, flowers, shade and timber. It absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen, which we need to breathe. Trees also hold the soil together, bring rainfall and keep the environment cool and clean.

If there were no trees, there would be no oxygen to breathe and no food or shelter for birds and animals. The earth would turn into a desert, and human life would become impossible. The loss of trees causes floods, soil erosion, drought and global warming. The balance of nature is also broken, and many species become extinct.

So we should plant more trees. Planting trees helps us to protect the environment and to save ourselves from natural disasters. The best time to plant trees is the rainy season, from June to September. We can plant them in our yards, on roadsides, on school and college grounds, on the banks of rivers and ponds and on any vacant land. Therefore, everyone should plant at least a few trees every year and take care of them.
