Blessings of Modern Science

Introduction
Science has changed the face of the world. Modern science has given us countless gifts and has made our life easier, faster and more comfortable. Today we cannot imagine a single day without its blessings.

Science in Daily Life
From the moment we wake up, we use the products of science. Electricity gives us light and runs fans, refrigerators and television sets. Gas and electric cookers have made cooking easy. Machines wash our clothes and pump our water.

Transport and Communication
Modern science has made the world a small village. Cars, trains, ships and aeroplanes carry us to distant places within hours. The telephone, mobile phone, radio, television and the internet let us talk to anyone in the world in a moment.

Medicine and Health
Science has brought a revolution in medicine. Vaccines and medicines have conquered many deadly diseases like smallpox and polio. X-ray, ultrasonography, MRI and modern surgery help doctors to detect and cure diseases and save millions of lives. The average life span of people has increased.

Agriculture and Industry
Scientific methods, high-yielding seeds, fertilizers and tractors have increased the production of crops and helped us to fight hunger. Machines in factories produce goods in large quantity at low cost and create jobs for many people.

Education and Entertainment
Computers and the internet have made education and research easy. Students can learn from online sources at any time. Television, films and music provide us with healthy entertainment.

Conclusion
Science is a great blessing for mankind, but its misuse in the form of weapons and pollution can bring disaster. If we use science for the welfare of humanity, it will make our life happier and the world more peaceful.
