They elected him chairman. It’s passive form is :

Question

Accepted Answer

ক. He was elected chairman by them.

ব্যাখ্যা: 'They elected him chairman' বাক্যে 'him' object এবং 'chairman' object complement। Passive-এ object subject হয়: He was elected chairman by them। Complement (chairman) আগের মতোই থাকে। খ-তে subject 'him' বাদ পড়ে অর্থ বদলে গেছে, গ ও ঘ-তে 'by him' বা উল্টো গঠন ভুল।

**শর্টকাট:** Object → subject (him → He) + was/were + V3 + complement।

**মনে রাখার কৌশল:** Object subject-এ যায়, complement সঙ্গে থেকে যায়।

**একই ধরনের প্রশ্ন:**
১. They made him captain. — passive করো।
*উত্তর:* He was made captain by them.
