Your Favourite Hobby

Introduction
A hobby is an activity that we do in our free time for pleasure. Everyone has a hobby of his own. Some like gardening, some like stamp collecting and some like reading. My favourite hobby is reading storybooks.

How I Developed My Hobby
I developed this habit when I was a child. My mother used to tell me stories from books, and then I began to read them myself. Gradually I fell in love with books, and now I spend my free time reading. I borrow books from my school library and from my friends, and I buy new books with my pocket money.

What I Read
I like to read stories, novels, poems and the lives of great people. The writings of Rabindranath Tagore, Kazi Nazrul Islam and Humayun Ahmed are my favourite. I also read newspapers and magazines.

Benefits
Reading gives me joy and increases my knowledge. It improves my vocabulary and writing skills, which help me in my studies. It keeps me away from bad company and from wasting time. Through books I learn about other countries, people and cultures. Moreover, it makes my mind pure.

Conclusion
A good hobby makes life colourful. Reading has become a part of my life, and I shall continue it all my life.
