Your Homeland

Our homeland is Bangladesh. It is a small but beautiful country in South Asia. The country is bounded by India on three sides and by Myanmar and the Bay of Bengal on the rest. It is a land of rivers, green fields and rich greenery. For this reason, it is called a land of rivers. Six seasons visit the country one after another and give it a different beauty. It is the land of the Sundarbans, the longest sea beach at Cox's Bazar and many historical places. The people of Bangladesh are simple, hospitable and hard-working. Rice and fish are their main food. Bangladesh got independence in 1971 after a nine-month-long war, and many people sacrificed their lives for it. Though the country suffers from natural disasters like floods and cyclones, the people always rise up again. We love our homeland more than our lives. It is our duty to keep it clean, beautiful and developed.
