Subject: Prayer for setting up a canteen in our school

Sir,

With due respect, I beg to state that I am a student of class IX of your school. Our school is a reputed one, but unfortunately there is no canteen in it. This causes much trouble for us.

Our school hours are long, and we feel hungry in the break. Since there is no canteen, many students have to go outside the school gate to buy food from street shops. This is not only time-consuming but also unsafe, because the food sold there is often unhygienic and the road is full of traffic. Some students who cannot go outside remain hungry and cannot concentrate on their classes.

A canteen inside the school can solve these problems. It will supply clean, healthy and cheap food to all students and teachers. It can also be run by a committee of teachers and students so that the quality is maintained.

Therefore, I earnestly request you to kindly arrange to set up a canteen in our school as early as possible. We shall be ever grateful to you.
