Artificial Intelligence has transformed modern life, but it also poses serious perils that we cannot afford to ignore. One of the most pressing dangers is job displacement, as machines and algorithms increasingly perform tasks once done by humans in factories, offices and even creative fields, leaving millions vulnerable to unemployment. Moreover, AI threatens privacy, because systems that collect and analyse vast amounts of personal data can be misused for surveillance and manipulation. Another grave concern is the spread of misinformation through deepfakes and automated content, which can undermine trust in the media and even democratic processes. In addition, AI systems may reflect hidden biases in their training data, leading to unfair decisions in hiring, lending or law enforcement. Finally, excessive dependence on AI may weaken human creativity, critical thinking and decision-making skills. In conclusion, although AI offers remarkable benefits, its risks to employment, privacy, truth and human skills demand strict regulation and responsible use so that technology serves humanity instead of harming it.
