Wonders of Modern Science

Introduction: We live in the age of science. Modern science has brought so many amazing inventions that they seem like magic to us. Its wonders have changed our life completely.

Wonders in Communication: Mobile phones, the internet, e-mail and social media have made the world a global village. We can talk to a person living in another continent within a second. Television and satellites bring news and entertainment from every corner of the earth.

Wonders in Transport: Aeroplanes, fast trains, ships and cars have made travel quick and comfortable. A journey that once took months can now be completed within a few hours.

Wonders in Medicine: Vaccines, X-ray, ultrasonography, CT scans and surgery have saved millions of lives. Many deadly diseases such as smallpox and polio are now under control.

Wonders in Agriculture and Industry: Tractors, power tillers, high-yielding seeds and chemical fertilizers have increased food production. Machines and computers produce goods quickly and in large quantities.

Other Wonders: Computers and robots do difficult work for us. Scientists have sent spacecraft to the moon and other planets.

Demerits: However, science also has a bad side. Atom bombs and other weapons can destroy humanity, and pollution is harming the environment.

Conclusion: Science is a good servant but a bad master. If we use its wonders for the welfare of mankind, our life will be happier and more peaceful.
