Select the correct sentence.

Question

Accepted Answer

ক. He is famous not only in Bangladesh but also in USA.

ব্যাখ্যা: **Not only ... but also** দিয়ে যে দুটি অংশ জোড়া হয় সেগুলো একই ব্যাকরণগত গঠনের হতে হবে (parallel structure)। ক-তে not only-র পরে 'in Bangladesh' আর but also-র পরে 'in USA' — দুটোই prepositional phrase, তাই বাক্যটি শুদ্ধ। খ-তে not only-র পরে adjective (famous in Bangladesh) কিন্তু but also-র পরে শুধু prepositional phrase — parallelism ভেঙেছে। গ-তে 'not famous only' অর্থই বদলে দেয় (বিখ্যাত নন)।

**শর্টকাট:** not only আর but also-র ঠিক পরের শব্দ দুটি একই ধরনের (noun-noun, phrase-phrase) কি না দেখো।

**একই ধরনের প্রশ্ন:**
১. Correct: She not only sings but also dances / She sings not only but also dances
*উত্তর:* She not only sings but also dances.
