Subject: Complaint about the poor condition of the school library

Sir,

With due respect, I, Arif, a student of class ten of your school, beg to draw your kind attention to the poor condition of our school library. Our school has a big library, but its collection of books is not satisfactory. Most of the books are old and torn, and there are not enough story books, reference books, dictionaries and recent magazines. The sitting arrangement is also poor. There are few chairs and tables, so many students have to stand or sit on the floor. The room is also not well lit or ventilated.

As a result, we cannot make good use of the library, and our reading habit is being damaged. We believe that a well-equipped library is necessary for our all-round development.

I, therefore, pray and hope that you would kindly take necessary steps to increase the number of books and improve the sitting arrangement.
