Your Favourite Hobby

Introduction
A hobby is something we do for pleasure in our free time. It refreshes the mind and makes life colourful. Everyone has some hobby, such as reading, gardening, painting or stamp collecting. My favourite hobby is gardening.

Why I like gardening
I like gardening because it brings me close to nature. Working in the open air in the morning keeps me healthy, and watching a plant grow from a seed gives me great joy. It also teaches me patience, because a plant takes time to grow.

How I practise it
I have a small garden on the roof of our house. I grow flowers such as roses, marigolds and jasmine, and some vegetables such as tomatoes and chillies. Every day I water the plants, remove weeds and give them natural manure. On holidays I spend more time in the garden and plant new saplings.

Benefits
Gardening gives me physical exercise and mental peace after a long day of study. The flowers make our house beautiful, and the vegetables are fresh and free from harmful chemicals. It also helps me to love the environment, and I gift flowers to my friends and neighbours, which makes them happy.

Conclusion
A hobby is a source of joy, health and knowledge. Gardening gives me all of these, and I want to continue it throughout my life.
