Your Visit to a Book Fair

Last February I visited the Amar Ekushey Book Fair at Bangla Academy, Dhaka, with my friends. The fair is held every year in the month of February in memory of the language martyrs. We reached the fair at about eleven in the morning. A large number of book lovers had gathered there. The whole place was decorated with colourful flags, and publishers had set up many beautifully designed stalls. We went round the stalls and looked at the newly published books. I bought a book of poems, a few story books and a dictionary. Some famous writers were also present and they were signing copies for their readers. I noticed that many children were buying picture books with their parents. We took a short break at a tea stall and then continued our visit. At about three in the afternoon, we returned home. The visit to the book fair was an enjoyable and memorable experience for me. It increased my interest in reading.
