(2) A university is the highest seat of learning, and I have high expectations from it. First, I expect a university to provide quality education through qualified and caring teachers. Second, it should have a well-equipped library and modern laboratories where students can learn by doing. Third, I want a peaceful and politics-free campus where students can concentrate on their studies. I also expect fair rules for admission, examinations and result publication. Besides academics, a university should encourage students to take part in debate, cultural programmes and sports. It should also arrange scholarships and financial help for meritorious but poor students. Research should be given special importance so that students can develop their creative and critical thinking. I hope the university will also help us to build good character, honesty and social responsibility. If a university fulfils these expectations, it can produce skilled and responsible citizens for the nation.
