. Personification is a figure of speech in which
human features are attributed to inanimate
objects or abstract ideas. Which of these is an
example of personification?

Question

Accepted Answer

ক. The snow whispered as it fell to the ground.

‘like a piercing arrow’ ও ‘like rain’ তুলনা (simile)। ‘Music is the salve’ রূপক (metaphor)।

**শর্টকাট:** ‘like/as’ থাকলে simile; ‘is’ দিয়ে সরাসরি তুলনা হলে metaphor; মানুষের ক্রিয়া থাকলে personification।

১. ‘The sun smiled down on us.’
