On the positive side, platforms like Facebook and YouTube help youths to stay connected, learn new skills, and start online businesses and freelancing. They also give young people a voice to raise social issues and take part in movements, as seen in recent social campaigns. On the other hand, excessive use wastes valuable study time and causes sleep problems, eye strain, and addiction. Cyberbullying, misinformation, and unrealistic comparisons can harm mental health and weaken real-life relationships. Therefore, young people should use social media wisely, and parents and teachers should guide them towards its constructive use.
