The annual Ekushey Book Fair concluded yesterday in the heart of Sylhet town amidst immense enthusiasm and vibrant cultural festivities. The month-long fair, held on the premises of the central Shaheed Minar, drew thousands of book enthusiasts, writers, and cultural activists of all ages.

More than a hundred stalls from leading publishing houses across the country were set up in the fairground. A wide range of books, including fiction, poetry, history, science fiction, and children's literature, were displayed. Publishers reported a remarkable surge in sales compared to previous years, particularly among young readers and university students.

Apart from book sales, a temporary open stage hosted daily cultural programs, poetry recitations, and literary symposiums where renowned writers and critics shared their insights. To ensure the safety of visitors, the local administration arranged foolproof security with CCTV surveillance and volunteer coordination. The fair has successfully reaffirmed our profound love for language, literature, and intellectual heritage.
