Subject: Complaint about the poor quality of food in the school canteen

Sir,
With due respect, I beg to draw your kind attention to the poor condition of the food of our school canteen. I am a student of class X of your school. Our school has a canteen, but the quality of the food sold there is neither good nor healthy.

Most of the foods are stale, oily and prepared in an unhygienic way. The cooks do not wear clean clothes or gloves, and the utensils are not washed properly. The prices are also higher than the quality. Many students have already suffered from stomach trouble and diarrhoea after eating such foods.

I, therefore, request you to take proper steps to improve the quality of the food, to ensure hygiene and to fix reasonable prices. A regular inspection by a teacher will also help to keep the canteen clean. If you kindly look into the matter, all the students will be benefited.
