Suddenly she heard a sound coming from the kitchen. Rimi became frightened and put her book down. She thought that a thief had entered the house. Slowly she picked up a stick and walked towards the kitchen with trembling steps. She peeped through the door and found a big cat eating the fish kept on the table. The cat had come in through the open window. Rimi felt relieved and laughed at her own fear. She drove the cat out and closed the window tightly. Then she made herself a cup of tea and sat down to read again. Soon her parents returned home before evening. Rimi told them everything and they all laughed together. From that day Rimi learnt that one should not lose courage in times of fear.
