The Clever Crow

One day a crow became very thirsty. He flew from place to place in search of water. But he found no water. He continued his search for water, but the heat of the sun made him weaker and weaker. At last he saw a pitcher under a tree in a garden. He flew down at once and looked into it. He was very happy to see a little water at the bottom of the pitcher. But his beak could not reach the water because it was too low. The crow tried to tip the pitcher over, but it was too heavy for him. Then he thought of a clever idea. He saw some small pebbles lying near the pitcher. He picked them up one by one and dropped them into the pitcher. Slowly the water came up to the mouth of the pitcher. Then the crow drank the water to his heart's content and felt much relieved. Thus his wit saved his life.

Moral: Where there is a will, there is a way.
