…………..before the exam started.

Question

Accepted Answer

গ. Hardly had I reached the exam hall

ব্যাখ্যা: Scarcely বা Hardly-এর সাথে correlative conjunction হিসেবে 'when' বা 'before' ব্যবহৃত হয় (Hardly/Scarcely had + subject + V3 + ... + before/when + past indefinite)। 'No sooner'-এর সাথে 'than' বসে। তাই প্রদত্ত বাক্যে 'before' থাকার কারণে "Hardly had I reached the exam hall" (অথবা Scarcely had...) ব্যাকরণগতভাবে সঠিক এবং বিকল্পগুলোর মধ্যে Hardly had যুক্ত বাক্যটি সবচেয়ে যথাযথ।
