Subject: Prayer for setting up a debating club in the school

Sir,

With due respect, I beg to state that I am a student of class ten of your school. Our school has no debating club. As a result, we have no scope to develop our speaking skill, logical thinking and confidence. Debating is an excellent way to learn how to express our thoughts clearly and to listen to others with respect. It also helps us to prepare for public examinations, viva and our future career.

If a debating club is set up, we shall hold debates on different topics every week under the guidance of our teachers. It will also enable us to take part in inter-school debating competitions and bring honour to our school.

I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to permit us to set up a debating club and arrange a room and a teacher as moderator for it.

Yours obediently,
Razu
