Subject: Prayer for permission to set up a debating club.

Sir,

We, the students of Class XII of your reputed college, beg to state that ours is one of the premier institutions in the region. However, it is a matter of regret that there is no debating club in our college. Many of us are keenly interested in debating and wish to participate in various inter-college debate competitions.

Debating sharpens our analytical ability, fosters rational thinking, enhances public speaking skills, and enriches our overall communicative competence. The establishment of a debating club would provide a dynamic platform for students to practice argumentative skills and broaden their intellectual outlook.

We, therefore, pray and hope that your honour would be kind enough to grant us permission and extend the necessary support to set up a debating club in the college premises.

Yours obediently,
The students of Class XII
