Tree Plantation

Tree plantation means planting saplings and taking care of them until they grow. It is one of the most important works for the welfare of our country and the whole world.

Trees give us many things. They provide us with fruits, timber, fuel and medicine. They take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen, which keeps the air fresh and clean. Trees bring rainfall, protect us from floods and soil erosion, and give shade in hot weather. They are the home of many birds and animals. Moreover, they make our surroundings beautiful.

Unfortunately, our forests are disappearing because of the cutting of trees, and this harms the environment. So we should plant more trees. The government observes a Tree Plantation Week every year during the rainy season, when saplings grow well. Every person should plant at least one tree each year and look after it. We should also make people aware of the benefits of trees.

If we plant trees, we shall make our country green and beautiful, and we shall leave a safe world for the coming generations.
