(a) Yesterday I could not get up from bed in time because I was suffering from a high fever.
(b) As soon as I got up from bed, I got ready and rushed to the bus stand.
(c) Since I could not avail the bus, I had to walk all the way to school.
(d) On the way to school, I walked fast lest I should be late for the class.
(e) If I reached late, the teacher would be annoyed with me.

নিয়ম: 'lest'-এর পরে should (negative অর্থ আছে বলে not বসে না); past condition-এ 'If + past, would + verb'।
