With the help of the internet, we can send e-mail, chat and make video calls with people anywhere in the world within seconds. Social media keeps us connected with friends and relatives.

In medical science and entertainment
Doctors use computers to diagnose diseases through X-ray, ultrasonography and CT scan. Patients' records are also kept in computers. Besides, we watch films, listen to music and play games on computers.

Computers are used in railway and air ticket booking, weather forecasting, space research and farming. They save time and labour and reduce mistakes.
