Subject: Application for financial help from the Poor Fund

Sir,

With due respect, I beg to state that I am a student of class ten of your school. I come from a very poor family. My father is a day labourer and the only earning member of our family of six. His income is too small to meet our basic needs, and he cannot bear my educational expenses.

I have been a regular student and I secured good marks in the last examinations. But now I fear that I may be unable to continue my studies, pay my tuition fees and buy books for the coming examination.

Under the circumstances, I pray and hope that you would be kind enough to grant me financial help from the Poor Fund of the school so that I can continue my studies. I shall remain grateful to you.
