One day his class teacher called him and asked why he was doing badly in the exams. Adib kept silent with his head down. The teacher said kindly that he was a brilliant boy but was wasting his talent. He explained that memorising answers from guide books could never make a student really good. He advised Adib to attend classes regularly and to read his textbooks with understanding. Adib felt ashamed and promised to change himself. From the next day he started attending all the classes and studying regularly at home. He also asked his teachers whenever he did not understand something. After a few months his hard work paid off. In the next exam he stood first in his class. Adib thanked his teacher for the good advice. He realised that there is no shortcut to success.
