Importance of Learning English

English is a global language. It is spoken as a first or second language in many countries and is used as a link language among people of different nations. For this reason, learning English is very important for all of us. First, most of the books on science, technology, medicine and higher education are written in English. So, students need English to get knowledge from these books. Second, English is the language of international trade, diplomacy and the internet, and we need it to communicate with the world. Third, a person who knows English well can easily get a good job at home and abroad. Many multinational companies ask for good skill in English. Besides, English helps us to travel abroad and to understand the culture of other nations. In Bangladesh, English is a compulsory subject from primary to higher level. Therefore, we should learn English with proper care. It can open the door of progress and success in our life.
