নোমান এমন একটি দেশে উচ্চ শিক্ষা গ্রহণের উদ্দেশ্যে গিয়েছেন যে, এ দেশের সরকার সব সম্পদের মালিক এবং জনগণের উৎপাদন, বন্টন ও ভোগের ক্ষেত্রে সরকার কেন্দ্রীয়ভাবে পরিকল্পনা গ্রহণ করে থাকে। অন্যদিকে নোমানের দেশে উৎপাদক ও ভোক্তা সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ এর ক্ষেত্রে পূর্ণ স্বাধীনতা ভোগ করে। সরকার অর্থনীতির কোন খাতে হস্তক্ষেপ করে না।

রসুলপুর গ্রামে পেঁয়াজের খুব ভালো ফলন হয়। কিন্তু এ গ্রামের যাতায়াত ব্যবস্থা ও বিদ্যুতের অপর্যাপ্ততার কারণে কোনো ফসল সংরক্ষণাগার গড়ে উঠেনি। এই পরিস্থিতিকে কাজে লাগিয়ে এক শ্রেণির দালাল কৃষকদের উৎপাদিত পেঁয়াজ খুব কম মূল্যে কিনে নেয় এবং বেশি দামে শহরের বাজারে বিক্রয় করে।

জনাব জমীর মিয়া বাণিজ্যিকভাবে ভুট্টা চাষ করার জন্য তার মামার নিকট থেকে কিছু টাকা এবং তার গ্রামের ভুট্টা বেপারীর নিকট থেকে বাকি টাকা ঋণ গ্রহণ করেন। কিন্তু তার বন্ধু শরীফ হোসেন ভুট্টা চাষ করার জন্য স্থানীয় কৃষি ব্যাংক থেকে ঋণ গ্রহণ করেন। চলতি বছর সরকার কৃষি ব্যাংকের ঋণের সুদ মওকুফ করার ঘোষণা করেছে।

A দেশের আয়তনের তুলনায় জনসংখ্যা অত্যাধিক। দেশটির জলবায়ু উষ্ণ ও আর্দ্র। ভূমিরূপ ও সমতল। এদেশের জনগণের প্রধান খাদ্য ভাত। এছাড়া এখানে শিক্ষার হার অত্যন্ত কম। অধিক জনসংখ্যার কারণে এদেশে খাদ্য, বাসস্থান, কর্মসংস্থান, জীবনযাত্রার নিম্নমান ইত্যাদি সমস্যা লেগেই আছে। উদ্ভূত সমস্যা সমাধানে উক্ত দেশের সরকার শিক্ষা ও প্রশিক্ষণের উপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেছে।

C দেশে পূর্বে টিভি, ফ্রিজ, কম্পিউটারসহ অন্যান্য ইলেকট্রনিক্স পণ্য আমদানি করা হতো। সম্প্রতি ওই দেশে ABC Electronics নামে একটি ইলেকট্রনিক্স পণ্য সংযোজনকারী প্রতিষ্ঠান গড়ে ওঠে। বর্তমানে ABC Electronics দেশে টিভি, ফ্রিজ ও কম্পিউটারের চাহিদা পূরণ করছে।

Y দেশে কয়েক দশক পূর্ব হতে বর্তমান পর্যন্ত পাট ও পাটজাত দ্রব্য প্রধান রপ্তানি দ্রব্য। তবে প্রযুক্তিগত সীমাবদ্ধতা, গুণগত মানের অভাব, প্লাস্টিক ও সিন্থেটিক জাতীয় সস্তা বিকল্পের উপস্থিতির কারণে পাটজাত পণ্যের চাহিদা দিন দিন হ্রাস পাচ্ছে। তবে এ বর্তমান বিশ্ব সম্প্রদায় প্লাস্টিক ও সিনথেটিক পণ্যের ক্ষতিকর দিক সম্পর্কে সচেতন হচ্ছে। এদিকে সম্প্রতি উক্ত দেশের একজন বিজ্ঞানী পাটের জেনেটিক কোষ উন্মোচন করেছেন।

সম্প্রতি রাশিয়া ও ইউক্রেন যুদ্ধের প্রভাবে বিশ্ব বাণিজ্য বাধাগ্রস্ত হয় এবং জ্বালানী তেলসহ অধিকাংশ খাদ্য পণ্যের যোগান ঘাটতি দেখা দেয়। এর প্রভাবে "D" দেশের খাদ্য ও ভোগ্য পণ্যের দাম ক্রমাগত বৃদ্ধি পেতে থাকে। দ্রব্যমূল্যের এই ঊর্ধ্বগতি নিয়ন্ত্রণে "D" দেশের সরকার তার সকল ধরনের ব্যয় কমানোর সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণ করেছে।
